Back in the day it was a mystery as what exactly caused resistance in electrical conductors.
I discovered it was light passing between the atoms.
Turned out Einstein was right, matter is made of light. At room temperature photons bounce back and forth between the atomic nuclei because protons and neutrons are bundles of photons.
When you pass electrons through a conductor this storm of photons impedes the flowing electrons.
When you immerse your conductor in a cryogenic liquid this quiets the photon storm and improves the conductivity. A proton is made entirely of photon particles. Matter is made of energy. Alfred Schrader 2018
